ÆÐUR is created by an Icelandic design duo dedicated to creating unique products from the rare Icelandic eiderdown. Founded by product designers Íris Indriðadóttir and Signý Jónsdóttir, the duo brings together years of work in design, research, and craftsmanship, with a deep focus on this exceptional natural material.

Working closely with local eider farmers across Iceland, including their own partners in Seyðisfjörður, ÆÐUR supports sustainable harvesting and the preservation of a centuries-old tradition. The duo follows the natural rhythm of the seasons, caring for eider colonies during the short Icelandic summer and developing products through the winter, ensuring full traceability and attention at every stage of production.

Each piece is made from 100% certified Icelandic eiderdown, sourced locally, carefully processed, and handcrafted in Iceland. Every product carries a story, from nest to finished product, a commitment to environmental respect, animal welfare, and enduring craftsmanship.
