1. General Information

Aedur.com is owned and operated by Studio Erindrekar ehf., kt. 5104230380, vsk. 154309. We produce and sell handmade eiderdown products.

This website provides customers with access to a curated selection of handmade eiderdown products. All products are crafted with care and attention to detail. Due to the natural and handmade nature of our products, variations in appearance, weight, and texture may occur and do not constitute defects.

2. Eligibility

This website may be used by individuals of all ages. However, by placing an order, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements or have consent from a legal guardian.

3. Orders and Payments

Order Acceptance:
All orders placed through the website are subject to acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including product availability, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity.

Pricing and Payments:
Prices are displayed in ISK unless otherwise stated. Payments must be made using the payment methods provided on the website. All payments are processed securely.

Taxes:
Applicable taxes, duties, and fees will be calculated at checkout where required. International customers are responsible for any customs duties or import charges.

4. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping Times:
Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control.

We ship worldwide with DHL Express.

Shipping costs are calculated as flat rates by region and displayed at checkout.

All orders include tracking.

As each piece is handcrafted and produced in limited quantities, delivery may take between 5–30 business days.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to customs processing.

International Orders:

International customers outside Iceland may be responsible for import duties, VAT, taxes, or customs fees charged by their local government.

These charges are not included in the order total and are the responsibility of the customer.

Orders shipped to EU countries may be subject to import VAT and customs handling fees upon delivery.

5. Returns and Right of Withdrawal

Customers within the European Economic Area have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving the product, in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

To exercise this right, items must be returned unused and in their original condition, unless an exemption applies.

Refunds will be processed after inspection of the returned item. Original shipping costs may not be refundable unless required by law.

If an item is defective or damaged, please contact us within 14 days of receipt.

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to obtain a different product, please place a new order and return the original item in accordance with this policy.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of Studio Erindrekar ehf. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.

7. Product Use and Safety

Our eiderdown products are natural, handmade bedding items intended for normal domestic use.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are used appropriately and safely, particularly when used by or for children. This includes ensuring that:

• The product is suitable for the user’s age, size, and health condition

• The sleeping environment is safe and appropriate

• Infants and young children are supervised in accordance with general safe sleeping guidelines

Improper use, misuse, or use contrary to general safety practices is at the customer’s own risk.

While our products are made with high-quality natural materials and craftsmanship, we do not guarantee that their use will prevent or eliminate risks associated with sleep environments.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

This website and all products are provided "as is" and "as available," to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Studio Erindrekar ehf. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to the use of this website or our products.

This includes, but is not limited to, damages for personal injury, loss of life, loss of use, or loss of profits, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

We are not liable for damages resulting from improper use, misuse, or failure to follow reasonable safety practices.

In all cases, our total liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, transportation disruptions, supply shortages, labor disputes, or governmental actions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Iceland.
